Thailand – Bangkok & Phuket!

Thailand is by far one of the best and most beautiful destinations I have traveled to! We definitely visited the best of
both worlds during this trip as we spent five days in the busy city of Bangkok and three days in
Phuket.

The first thing on our Bangkok bucket list was to visit some temples and see the traditional local
culture. We had an amazing local lady driver who spoke great English (as not many people spoke it
and we definitely don’t speak any thai) who drove us to the temple in Wat Kanlaya. The vibe was
so peaceful and chill, you could really take your time learn all about the religion and the goings on in the temple.

Later, we went to an amazing rooftop restaurant/ bar called Vertigo & Moon Bar and is very well known in Bangkok,
they do a great range of mediterranean cuisine and the view is just outstanding! It was definitely on the pricier side of dining but is worth every penny for such a wonderful dinner experience.

Street food! Bangkok is the place to go if this is something you want to try. Really not my usual vibe but we went into the local markets and it was super tasty, I am usually the OCD person when it comes to a hygiene, especially from the horror stories that you hear but it all looked and tasted so fresh.

If you’re in Bangkok or planning a visit the Floating Market is well worth the trip, you’ll get your own boat for the a
cheap price to take you round tiny markets where you can buy clothes trinkets and fresh local
cuisine.

Just a one hour plane ride away we flew onto Phuket, we had actually visited once before a long
weekend and loved it! So wanted to stop by for a few days whilst in the area. We stayed at an
incredible hotel called Avista Hideaway, just 15 minutes by car or shuttle bus from the hotel to
Patong beach. This place definitely lives up to its name as you feel completed surrounded by
nature with the infinity pools up in the trees! The service is by far one of the best I have received, we were given an incredible upgrade where our bathroom overlooked the wildernessand the service from the hotel staff was flawless.

Just a 15 minute shuttle or car drive from Patong Beach, the hotel and the location is a perfect balance between a relaxing holiday and party trip. Along Patong Beach is the strip of Thailands best bars, restaurants and nightclubs. The area is pumping and comes to life and night with an array of different nationalities all visiting.
